He stopped, gasping for air, his breathing out of control, his heart racing, his pulse throbbing. Couldn't remember how long he had been running.
This was supposed to be a simple reconnaissance mission. But those endless forests, reminiscent of the very moon of Endor, shrouded in dense, milky-white fog, seemed to have no beginning or end. No matter how fast he ran, it felt like he ended up in the same place, like a vast, infinite loop with no start or finish.
He glanced back, unable to discern anything through the thick fog, and knew he couldn't stop much longer. Thought he heard something; they couldn't be far away. Kept running, crossing the next line of trees, and then another, and another.
Stopped, gasping for air, his pulse racing, his heart pounding. Couldn't remember how long he had been running.
This was supposed to be a simple reconnaissance mission. But those mist-drenched forests seemed to go on forever. No matter how fast he ran, it always felt like he ended up in the same place. Like a vast, infinite loop.
Looked back without seeing anything and knew he couldn't stop anymore. They were close. He knew it.
Kept running. Trees and more trees. Stopped, gasping for air.
Didn't know how long he had been running.
It was supposed to be.
A simple mission.
A reconnaissance.
But those forests.
They were.
Endless.
Like a.
Vast.
Infinite.
Loop.
